Great pen, but not for me

The pen is fine. Pilot makes great pens, it is well finished, the nib is a great low-end Pilot steel nib that wrote great right out of the box. The seller was great (I am a repeat customer). Why only 4 stars? It's an issue specific to me--I hold the pen fairly high on the section right at the step between the section and the body and this step is fairly sharp so it is uncomfortable for me to use. I purchased the pen because I have the same problem with the Metropolitan (which also writes great) and I was hoping this pen (with the same nib) would be more comfortable. If you are "normal" this won't affect you at all but if you're like me you are going to be a little disappointed.
