Shoddy Tips
As a soldering iron, it does the job. That is if the tip doesn't melt. Were the tips made out of solder? After one 15m use the tip of the iron was deformed. It's also way too easy to change the temperature during use just be subsequently nudging the dial.

Very Nice Forge
1 of 1 found this helpful This thing really heats up. It's sturdy and I love the placard on the side. As a beginner, this is just what I needed. I couldn't wait to stick a railroad spike in there and begin learning. The instructions are very thorough and it was packed very neatly. Everything worked straight out of the box. You can tell it was made with care and patience.
