The author says it was actually inspired more by The Black Magician trilogy, a fantasy novel series written by Australian author Trudi Canavan. The author says the similarities may not be so apparent in the first book, Fans of The Black Magician trilogy will begin to see more similarities in his upcoming sequel, Fortress of Gold, which has an unexpected plot twist similar to that in the 2nd book of The Black Magician trilogy, The Novice.

Looks great, feels great!
Four benefits 1) Looks great! 2) Laser etched, so it's not going to wear off even if you accidentally get gun cleaner or CLP on it. 3) Feels great, better than the original Ruger finger-tip extension. The Ruger finger-tip extension curves forward a little, which never felt right to my pinkie finger, while this finger-tip extension is straight, feeling like a natural extension of the gun's grip. 4) Material (aluminum) is better than Ruger's original plastic, stronger and heavier (only about 0.1 oz heavier).

Nice bulb, but hard to install into the Maglite Classic flashlights because it's almost too big to fit
Nice bulb, plenty bright. However, it's almost too big to fit into the Maglite Classic flashlights. It was a very tight fit, and very difficult to install because it was such a tight fit.
