Maybe not for LG devices?
I bought one of these and other generic fast charging cable for my Samsung galaxy Note 3 and Lenovo yoga tablet 2, thinking that the micro USB cables shouldn't be manufacturer specific. I have an USB current meter as well, so I could test the quality of the cables. With the original samsung charger and original cable, I get 1.75A at 5.33V. With the other micro USB cable I bought, exactly the same. But with this, it barely reaches 0.80A at 5.20V, meaning there is resistance somewhere. It could be the connector (it's even more important than the thickness of the cable!) or it could be the cable, I don't know. And with the tablet it happens the same. Is it only my cable? Would it work fine with an LG phone? I don't think so... but it could be.
I'll leave it in the drawer just in case, but I haven't been able to achieve what it states (1.8 A).

Guessing works better
First of all, I had to open with a blade the places where the base supposed to go. That's the quality I found on the product. And well, the rest basically is about the accuracy. I can tell better the temperature and humidity guessing than looking at the reads. I had 4 thermometers together (digital and analogue) ranging between 22ºC and 23ºC but this one was reading around 18.5º... and the humidity was 36%... well, I can tell you that that humidity is almost impossible to achieve in a normal environment... the two other hygrometers were reading about 50%...
So don't buy it... just guess... it works better.

20ºC of difference!
I have a Clevo W355ST laptop, that is a medium range gaming laptop (so the cooling system has to cool down an Nvidia 765M and the i7 4700MQ) and I thought it required a repaste after 4 years. I tried a CPU stress test before the repasting and the CPU reached 99ºC quickly and it had to use the thermal throttling. After the repaste, it didn't go over 77ºC so I guess that's a pretty good indicative. This test was only for the CPU. When I played games (fallout 4, etc) that required CPU and GPU, the CPU reached 95ºC after 30 minutes playing but no thermal throttling! Before it had to do it all the time.
Apart from the good performance of the paste, it's pretty easy to apply, so I recommend it to everyone!!
