Great sound, good features
picked these up for 70$ I'm not sure why but I have been buying headphones quite often, seeking pair that is comfortable with great sound and these did not disappoint. With dolby surround off music is very clear and near audiophile grade, the microphone is very clear and perfect for gaming or skyping. Ear pads are comfortable, though I wish a tad bigger (probably because I have large ears and wear glasses.) Corsair's software is pretty nice with an equalizer and different settings (clear chat, pure direct, movie theater, bass boost and fps competition.) This headset being a hybrid means it can be used for both PC via usb adapter and analog with the 3.5mm so if you wish to use your own sound card these will work. The only reason for 4 stars is that I wish the ear cups had been bigger and a better surround sound function, it is dolby surround but no customization of individual speakers so really just a sound enhancer but just be sure to switch it off for music; build construction is pretty solid, mostly plastic but steel band inside the adjusters and aluminum brackets tied to the ear cups, definitely worth the money.

comfy as a kitten, Roars like a tiger
0 of 1 found this helpful I have used many headset over the years, all of which have had there ups and downs. I have a big head, big ears and wear glasses so finding a comfortable headset is next to impossible for me; the roccat kaves however are very comfortable mainly because of the padding and size of the earcups, even more so than the hyperx clouds, it doesn't have booming bass but its quite adequate and mids and highs are clear. Its basically open back headset because of the vents on each earcup which is a positive cause it allows more air into the cup and allows venting, however in a noisy area this could be an issue and thankfully they added a noise canceling mic. Yes these are just stereo but I plugged mine into an asus xonar dg soundcard and use dolby headphone which adds more of a surround environment and that seems to help in gaming. For the price these are great and im happy to say they added a clip to the inline control switch; which for whatever reason most headset companies don't, I can't say much for build quality but so far no issues and seem pretty solid.

Outstanding sound, but that is about it
The blue led is a nice feature but honestly style or accessories are not a concern of mine when purchasing a headset; comfort, sound, and quality are. On the comfort side, they just simply are not, at least on my head which is big and includes big ears and glasses sadly a terrible combination, these simply squeeze my head like an apple press and do not have enough padding which in turn pushes my ear into the frame of my glasses causing pain after about 10 mins. For some reason they squeak a lot as well, not an issue when they are in hand and not on your head, but when you put them on you will know what i mean about how the plastic keeps squeaking. Sound quality is amazing, these being usb only they have a lot of power because of the usb sound card which produces the perfect amount of base just incredible sound for anything really, especially gaming. A word on quality, they seem to be built pretty good, pretty much all plastic but I definitely wouldn't drop them from any real high level.
