Solid and Big
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a solid big reel that not only feels right but looks mean with its gold spinal and gold handle. It's wide and eats up a 1000meters of 80lb braid effortlessly. The LCD screen is easy to see and read and has great information including how long it will take for the line to retrieve at the present speed it's been wound in.
The best thing I love is been able to input the exact length of line that's been spooled onto the reel to give an accurate line readout on the LCD screen. The power is fantastic and the drag is smooth. Overall its a great reel.

Great Value Reel
This reel is one of the best that falls in the mid range. Their is a heap of cheaper reels that only hold a max of 400 to 500m of braid that cost between $NZ600 and $NZ700 then there is a huge jump to the big boy reels that hold the 1000 plus meters but cost $NZ 1600 to $NZ2000.
This is only one of a couple of reels that fills the niche between, holds 750 to 800m and costs less than $NZ1000.
It is lightweight with strong design and great tech. Has all bells and whistles like auto stop and jigging but I love the fact you can program the exact amount if line spooled on reel no matter what type of braid or diameter is used. This gives an accurate line count readout.
The reel is smooth in operation and one can feel the ball bearings working smooth in this reel. The screen is not huge but displays all info required including the time it will take to retrieve the line at the given throttle speed and amount of line left to retrieve. Easy to clean and maintain being fully sealed electronics makes it a fantastic accessory to any fishing gear. Just love it.

Good Reel for Price
The Silstar PRIMMUS 7000W is actually the Kona XS 700 and an English manual can be found for this reel under the Kona.
The PRIMMUS is a small compact reel that is well built and lighter in its class but still holds 500m of 0.30 braid. It is a powerful reel and works flawlessly with simple setup operation and only having 3 buttons to control many of its features that the expensive reels have. I found it very smooth in operation and realitivly quiet. The wide power lever across the top of the spool is in a nice place accessible from both sides and is nice that it works from in to out.
The finish of the reel is nice and well protected and the large nob on the handle provides plenty of cranking power should you wand to handcrank your fish in.
Its not the flashes reel but it gets the job done and has all the necessarys that's required. For its price, Silstar have produced a quality budget electric reel.
