Bad product! Seems to be an issue with WDs 400GB series.

I got a bad drive from a shady seller. The HP M213 I was putting it in wouldnt recognize the drive. Kept getting operating system not found error message. Put it in my data backup tower and it recognized the drive and I got windows on it, but when I tried the Western Digital Drive utility, it didnt recognize the drive. About 3 hours later. Dead! Don't buy this drive, and when you get one, get it from Newegg ... where they take care of their customers.

Not made well. Do not last long.

Worked fine for couple of weeks. Then started shorting out, even though they had only been used lightly. Don't know if I just got a bad pair or if they were part of a bad batch. Even though they are not very expensive, they are not worth the price since they are essentially disposable.
