Story has a little bit of everything. Comedy, romance and drama.
This is an older copy of the book by Jessamyn West that dates back to the 1940s. It is in good condition. The story is a classic that was made into an excellent movie with Gary Cooper and Dorothy Maguire in the 1950s. A civil war tale of a Quaker family trying to survive the war while holding fast to their peace loving principles. Many amusing episodes involving the family's pet goose and their horse, not to mention an organ. It has dramatic moments too. A very good read and highly recommended!

A very pretty remake of a great original.
A beautiful doll made from more modern plastic and shiny hair then the original 1959 doll. It is gorgeous and captures the high glam and sweet expression of the first Barbies. However, the doll has seams done the front legs that are not too comely. But this doll looks great in dresses and outfits.

An awesome nostalgic doll from a glamourous time
This repro platinum blonde Barbie from the sixties is absolutely gorgeous. Great hair, though dated. Love the long gloves and wish women today would wear them on formal occasions.An absolutely fab outfit too. She looks pretty in pink! I got a pink poodle companion as an extra and thats why I chose this 1963 repro. Overall a great buy at a good price. Thankyou.An
