Kaw Valley Precision Thread Adapter - 1/2x36 to 1/2x28

Is not 1/2x36 as sold

It is supposed to be 1/2x36 but it will not thread on my rifle which is threaded 1/2x36, I have two muzzle devices that are this thread pattern and they will both fit on the barrel I'm working with. However, the muzzle attachment I want to put on this barrel is 1/2x28 so I bought this adapter to make the barrel and muzzle device compatible. Unfortunately, as I have stated the adapter will not thread on the barrel.
