Great Outdoor watch

If you are looking for a running watch or a everyday watch, for most this will be too much. This watch is designed for hiking and navigation. I have used it for 18 hours with about 14% battery left at the end. This did not quite meet the standards Garmin claimed, but part of that was during limited visibility with me turning the light on to check my location. The Compass is very impressive. I have several other Garmin products and this digital compass is by far the most accurate. The touch screen is very simple, but effective for what you need it for (zoom and pan maps). Custom maps are easily put on the Epix, but the resolution is not quite as detailed as larger hand held models. I found that 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 are easier to read than 1:25,000 because of the limited screen.
