The Psalms of David
3 of 3 found this helpful The story of the illustrator is fascinating, although much is unknown.
James Swan Freewater wrote all 150 psalms of the King James Bible in his unique and varied Calligraphic and painterly style. Every page is beautifully illustrated. In 1934 Mr. Freewater died of pneumonia one month after completion of his work in progress (over thirty years).
The book was not published until 1982.
Being an artist, this is an excellent way for me to make the most of my daily meditation time. Now that I have this "gem", I would never want to be without it.
