I bought this novel in 1974 because of the cover , Zimbabwe bird, Ruins of a city, and a Bearded White man on the cover .( Wilbur Smith the author has written 20 plus novels dealing with Africa. ) " What Super Race had built this vast ancient city and then vanished from the face of the earth? " The first part. An Archeologist Ben Kazin and his Billionaire friend Louren Sturvesant search for a lost city of Opet/Opar founded by Carthaginians escaping from the Romans. They founded an Empire about the size of Europe which vanished without a trace. The city ruins are found by aerial photos because all the stones were removed by hand . Ben and Louren uncover a hidden chamber and fall victim to the curse of the Pharaohs , deadly spores. The second part This takes place in the distance past. . Louren is now a future King of Opet and Ben is Hue Ben Amon the Axman of the Gods and the Kings advisor. ( Reincarnated???) The decisions made in the past, by these two , lead to the destruction of the Empire. In the last chapters we are back in the present. Instead of the third or fourth remake of a movie someone should use this

Only for Hardcore Fans
If you like Heinlein, then read this book. Otherwise search out other books. Starship Troopers is very good. Have Spacesuit will Travel/ juvenile, but adults will find it readable. . I would strongly recommend; The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Someone with pull in Hollywood should get a director to make this a movie! This book has everything going for it. The moon is a penial colony where cons and unwanted are shipped to. A one-armed repairman becomes the only friend of a computer "that has developed awareness. Every system on the moon runs thru: Him". The Compuuter a Blonde and an exiled Professor, and the Repairman join together to overthrow the government of the moon. Otherwise in X number of years everyone could be dead.

68-72 Guide Plates
If you need this part it is an exact looking replacement and works like as the ones that came on my 1970 Cutlass. The original ones had the fabric worn from years of use. They should hold up as the 37 year old ones they have replaced
