Brown "Tortoise" Pickguard for Squier Precision Bass
It's hard to examine a pickguard's appearance online, even with zoom view, so I'm going to try to describe it. Even in person, this one's appearance changes with lighting conditions. It's a good photo reproduction process of a nice marble pattern brush painting in reddish-brown w/ yellow highlights applied to a shiny counter-top like material with the same ply design as the stock black pickguard on my fine Lake Placid Blue Squier VM Precision PJ Bass. It cost me less than $20.00 w/ free shipping; the Fender P-Bass tortoise with compressed plastic inclusions costs $80.00 and may not fit Squier. This guard does not have the 3D visual quality of some custom guards costing around $170.00 (my PJ cost $200.00), but it fits well and adds a more lively, energetic (& to me more traditional Fender) look to my bass; I like it!

My Favorite
Smooth-playing flats with just a touch of brightness in a heavy enough gauge for deep, long-lasting, old school tone from my Precision Bass.
