Gram Parsons--Lost Recordings a Gem
If you are a hard core fan, or an upstart, of the very talented Gram Parsons I highly suggest finding a copy of Lost Recordings (A.K.A. Cosmic American Music--Lost Recordings)
While the quality of the sound isn't studio quality...it's not ment to be. This recording is a collection of recordings that Gram did while on the road during the time of G.P. (I believe). Highlights of the album are many work tracks.
The back and forth between Gram and the band members is priceless. These tracks are similar to the bonus tracks you find on many of the Legacy Edition releases. The only difference is where those tracks are studio quality out takes this album was recorded almost exclusively in hotel rooms. If you listen past the vocals you can actually pick up bits and pieces of conversations in the background.
It is fun to hear the progression of some of Grams work from a personal level. Also, a rough cut of Folsom Prison Blues is alone worth the price.
So if you are a fan of Gram's from his brief flight with the Byrds, or his Burritto Brothers work...or just a fan of good music I would say this is a diamond in the rough that is well worth an addition to your collection.

Loved the film and this gives ya everything you need minus a Tweedy cameo
