Steel is only way to go

Excellent product. With the steel inserts you can actually remove it when you "utilize" your hand guards and have to remove the inserts to straighten your guards back out (if you know what I mean). They don't lose their shape and the tabs don't break off if you take them out more than once like the inferior aluminum inserts will which can become ineffective even during installation when you readjust a couple of times to get them perfect. Highly recommend them.

Seems to be very powerful

Bought this for 1/2" capability and cuts thru the half/inch hardibacker with ease.I don't know if the head is supposed to swivel for maneuverability but mine was a little loose which actually gave me a chance to try it at different angles out of the box. Came with allenhead wrench and I tightened it up where I liked it and has stayed ever since. Would be nicer with a over length power cord for the different positions in cutting but it is standard and at least not a shorty one. Overall happy with tool but haven't used enough to mention durability or blade wear, seems to be well made and very solid. Happy so far, in my opinion paid for itself in one job verses wheel cutting or snapping and dealing with the dust..Cut from the back side, leaves the exposed edge very clean. A definite 5 stars+ if it had the bag and cord.
