Purchased this for medium format digital landscape set up for night shoots. Works fine, in fact it is my 3rd 3055 ballhead. They are a little stiff, and the QR plate is huge, controls are adequate to achieve proper function. It works, there are tons of better options out there now, but these are nearly indestructible and always available used for cheap and in good shape.

Good product, just not for me

Shipped fast, nice packaging. Like the metal form fit checkered product offered by Wilson it's just not for me. It does require several steps to install and instructions are either a little vague or not translated well. That being said I am confident if one could live visually with the results on their 1911, that it would definitely stay put. ( Wilson product migrates south all of the time w/ recoil eventually interferes with magazine loading/ ect in matches). I would not recommend this product w/ front strap checkering services hovering around $100-$125 nationally. Pony up, you get what you pay for.
