Needs an update.
My version says 2016, however I don't think the content is anywhere close to 2016. Despite this, I still think the information is good. I am also enjoying The Elements of Typography by Robert Binghurst. They both seem relevant to me. I would say, get them both. I think Grid systems is easier to understand, however there are finer details in The elements of typography (that seem to elude me for some reason).

Good
It's a good book, but it is more like a dictionary. It doesn't really teach you how to do things. Would I recommend it...maybe. I will say that the information is good for self-taught designers that just have no clue about anything, heh like me.

Nice book. Had me drawing excellent characters within 15 minutes.
Good things: Very straight-forward and easy to follow. The small intricacies you want to know about character emotions, etc. are in this book.
Bad things: Maybe too simple and easy to follow. I was expecting some kind of run-around and hoop-jumping through to get the information I wanted - possibly spending hours upon hours reading something to get to a single point.
Definitely would recommend this if you are like me (graphic designer) and want to get into character designs.
