"Incredible Mel Brooks" lives up to its title!
Very enjoyable -- every disc has a treasure on it. Love having the pilot for "Get Smart" and a pristine copy of "When Things Were Rotten." Interviews are great, too.

More than worth the money
2 of 2 found this helpful "Barney Miller" is one of my all-time favorite series. I was very pleased to obtain this complete box set at a reasonable price so that I could have a complete set, including the pilot (which I had never seen); special features include interviews with writers Frank Dungan and Jeff Stein, star Hal Linden and support cast members Max Gail and Abe Vigoda. Only one missing (who is still with us) of the regulars was Ron Glass, whose thoughts on the series would have made for an even fuller view of the show.
The commentary by Dungan, Stein and fellow writer Tony Sheehan on the final three episodes was especially appreciated with little tidbits thrown in, some I have read/heard about before, some I have note. Their commentary was easier to follow, as to who was doing the talking, than some other group commentaries on other sitcoms ("Newsradio," another favorite series of mine, is an example of a DVD set with commentaries which occasionally had too many people -- no commentary track should number more than 3 participants at most). I did also appreciate the first season of "Fish" being included, although I wish they were able to obtain the rights to season 2, as well. The quality difference of the content between "Barney Miller" and "Fish" is notable because some of the actors portraying the youngsters were not very good.
To sum up, for anyone who has a major or even minor interest in the series and is able to afford, "Barney Miller" DVD set will make a treasured addition to their DVD collection.
