Smaller and a little louder than I expected, but still glad I have it
0 of 1 found this helpful It has three speeds, and even at the lowest speed it makes a clearly audible fan noise, unlike some other (more expensive) brands I've used. And the noise isn't a pure even white noise--there's some variation. But it doesn't affect my sleep. I don't use the two higher speeds.

Compact, lots of ports, one quibble
This is a nice, compact, attractive hub with plenty of ports. My only issue is that sometimes the quick-charge ports don't charge my phone--I think they aren't purely charging ports, like on my old hub, but ones where you have to unlock your phone to have it recognized, even for charging. Other than that, great product.

Well made but flawed
3 of 3 found this helpful It's a nice, solid, attractive aluminum case, and it works fine. And it's nice that the USB cable and mounting screws (and screwdriver) are included. But:
1. The included screws are smaller than the holes in any of my HDDs, and the screws that fit those are too big for the holes in this case, so the HDD is just held in the case by the connector.
2. The connector is held into the end cap with a couple pieces of putty, but the connection with the HDD itself--the way the HDD plugs into the connector--is stronger than the putty. Every time I remove the end cap the connector comes out and remains connected to the HDD, so I have to pull it off by hand.
I feel like I got my money's worth, I guess, but I'd try another one next time.
