Well build, one design weakness
This little hot swap mount is solidly built; the doors do a good job of guiding the drives into their sockets and securing them; and providing disc activity lights that do not require external drive signals are all pluses. Extra power jumpers are provided to make up to either SATA or old style power plugs in your chassis.
The one weakness is that there is a plate at the base of each drive slot and it is metal - i.e. conductive, and most non SSD 2.5" drives have exposed circuits on the bottom. Startech provides adhesive cover sheets for the 1st two drives you decide to use, after that you are on your own to insure you don't accidentally fry a drive with exposed circuits. Of course a few minutes and some insulating tape fixes this well enough but an omission in an otherwise good design.
Their 3.5" hot swap drive mount uses a rail system which is 'bottomless' and so doesn't have this issue.

Reasonable product, reasonable price
1 of 1 found this helpful Keyboard is fine. It is just a few thousandths undersized so it did not snap in as snugly as the OEM but is does stay in fine since it also screws down. The touch is good, but again not quite as silky as the Lenovo OEM. Bottom line is it is more than adequate to get the rest of the life out of an already old laptop!
