subject matter is accurate to title
I am an amateur bird-watcher, and this book has only a few black & white pictures of birds to help identify, only descriptions. I'm sure when it was originally published in 1940, and the copy I received was a 2nd publishing in 1970, that it was as good as could be found, but compared to other books available, is no longer relevant in my mind. If someone is looking for a vintage book of this type, then it is probably what you're looking for, but for current technology available now, it is not much help. Good luck to all!
