ok fan -- 2 blade better
The best is a two blade model and is a lot better in terms of air movement.

Have tried 4 different models on same stove with same temp for same time. All were quiet and all need to be on top of the stove since they work by heat differential. Heating one end of a thermoelectric fan causes the electrons to move away from the hot end toward the cold end. When the electrons go from the hot side to the cold side this causes an electrical current, which the PowerPot harnesses to turn the fan. The larger the temperature difference the more electrical current is produced and therefore more power generated.
