Good solid low latency ram

Now quite old but very good RAM at 4-4-4-12 800mhz. Stable and overclocks nicely. I'm just using 2 sticks in a HTPC and is fine for this use but gamers or media editors may want at least 4GB. If you're going for DDR2 then go for this or crucial ballistix, best price/performance in my opinion.

Does the job, good value

Took the bedroom from 31c to <25c in a few hours with the hose just chucked out the window. Blows out nice cool air. Was great to have in the heatwave. The fan noise isn't too bad but the compressor is too noisy to have a work call or sleep next to. But I did sit by it for a few hours to keep cool and with headphones on it was fine. It's not too big and looks better than most other units, its easy to push around on the wheels, but is too heavy to lift into the loft for storage. Note I paid around £180 for the 8000BTU unit which is pretty good value.

Good Processor - An ideal upgrade from an old P4

Would make a good upgrade from say a 2.4ghz P4, if you have anything faster than that (or a similar Single core AMD processor) it would be worth getting that extra bit of juice! If you have a dual core processor - The upgrade really isnt worth it. Make sure its compatible with your motherboard, if you're planning on a complete system upgrade go for one of the slightly more up-to-date core2duo processors, you wont be dissapointed!
