Resonant, Ready to mod

I opened the box and first impressions are great - thin profile neck, good binding, the top has a nice curve to it, it's not a flat slab - neck is nice and dark, I thought I'd have to stain it to ebony but it looks good already. Tried playing it without amp, it resonates well and you can feel that. But of course, it needs a set-up. First four frets buzz, but after flying halfway around the world through temperature changes that's expected. The only things I can really criticize are that at the point under the high frets where the pickguard edge meets the binding is messy. Maybe a 1cm spot in diameter, but enough to notice. The Luther has also dropped some hot rocks out of his joint onto the finish just under the bridge pickup as well 😂 The tuning keys are rusty, but I was replacing those anyway, as well as refinishing with a silver burst - it's going to be an Adam Jones signature replica when I'm done. As far as guitars ordered online go, this is THE best value for money you can get! Try finding an LP copy this faithful with the proper LP custom binding for less. You can't. Fantastic. They work with 2.4Ghz dongles, and seem to have a high-enough transfer speed for any of my uses - including a USB Interface - the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.
