Kenda Desert Parker - Best dual sport tire I have found.
1 of 1 found this helpful I have tried many different tires on my plated XR650R. Only the Kenda Parker Desert Terrain holds up for me (rear only). I run low air pressure with thin tubes and have never pinched a tube with this tire. I run rock tails all the time. Side walls are a little stiffer than non DOTs. I ran this tire on the LAB2V run (540 miles hard way). This tire hooks up better that any other DOT tire out there. After about 1000 miles the tire was not as responsive in the desert dirt, but still OK on the street. Ran the tire at 1200 miles in wet mountain terrain. The result was very squirrely. I cannot get a full dirt tire to last in desert conditions more than 200 miles. I have torn knobs off on the first ride with other tires. The price of the Kenda is crazy cheap for what you get. I am on my 3rd Kenda Desert rear tire. I will NOT recommend the front Kenda Parker Desert tire.
