2 of 2 found this helpful I love this little machine. AND this seller includes instructions to a point. Here's what you do. If you have a ring with a split shank, you can not go past the split point. Put the ring into each roller until you've found the right size for the ring. Use a permanent marker to mark the ring at the stopping point where the ring splits. If there's no split, you stop before you touch any part of the setting. As the instructions state, put the roller in the alignment pin and insert both back into the enlarger. Tighten it down until it holds the ring firmly. Turn the handle left to the stop point then back to the right stop point. You may have to tighten more as the ring stretches. Remove the ring after one left and right and put it on a ring mandrel to check the size/or put it on to check the fit. If the ring is still not large enough, repeat above until it is. I don't recommend stretching more than one size. I went from a 6 to a 7 with no problem. If the ring is bent, put it on the mandrel and push down until the ring gets back to round shape. Polish if necessary.
