Not For Every CAT Cable!
1 of 1 found this helpful I found the instructions were accurate; however the gap where the individual wires are supposed to make contact is too wide for my CAT8 cable and therefore only provides an intermittent signal. I found I had to install each wire manually after stripping the end, folding them over and soldering them to make them fatter. A bit of a fiddle but as I only had two to make off, not too much of a pain.
I tried the CAT8 cable on my existing CAT6 unshielded connectors being replaced which have much smaller gaps so the wire connection is not a problem on these. I also tried my existing CAT6 cable on the shielded type and again experienced the lack of stable connection.
Also, I had to build up the cable to ensure the back-shell made a good contact with the cable sheath and screen wire. As both are standard CAT cables it should be able to clamp them correctly.
This is either a design flaw ( the build quality appears to be good) or they need to specify the suitable cable and wire size.

Great camera, but battery life is poor!
Great camera, but battery life is poor!
One set only lasts one week with a total of 4 night videos recorded. No good for longer recording periods.
Doesn't work well with rechargeable batteries either!
Image quality is acceptable for the price.
I bought this because it is smaller than the others listed and glad I did.
Overall I am impressed with it, but if you want something you can fit and forget for a while this won't be suitable for your needs, unless you invest in a separate power pack / dc supply, which you can simply plug in. However, this does away with it being small and portable.

Better Sound Quality
Tried a couple on my DAC and was impressed how the sound became clearer, so I invested in more for my pre-amp, and was also impressed with the clearer sound. It's not until you hear the difference that you become aware of it. I presume it is radio mush that is getting into the electronics. Not much to pay for a better sound quality, and you can always resell them as after fitting and removing they are like new!
