I have used for years
I started using this when it was called Direct Stop and it works exactly like I want it too. I always walk my dog on leash and it works on "charging" dogs, unwanted advances from other dogs and if there is an altercation. It is not harmful to dogs although I recommend wiping your dogs eyes as soon as possible if he gets hit with it. It's just uncomfortable, not harmful. Highly recommend.
