Good recipes
The recipes are the usual stellar variety. No problem there. However, I expected a book that was fashioned after his video series with handwritten text, hand drawn images, etc. It does not have those. It's the usual pictures of food and typed recipes.

Best Bread Book
I've been waiting to make bread for years. Now that I can I order Silverton's bread book. She and James Beard were the definitive works at the time of their creation. Silverton's creative bread approach is amazing. No commercial yeast? Fine, you can make a great starter with grapes. Takes a while but the product is unsurpassed. No offence to Mr. Beard, of course. Great book and worth the wait. Silverton's career produced great recipes, too. I've been using her Silver Palate cookbook for decades. Every recipe is excellent and still works today.
