The truth is (unlike what many ignorant or dishonest sellers would like you to believe) that the vast majority of transit tokens are neither scarce nor rare, and most are worth no more than a few dollars. You can rest assured that tokens priced more than that here are not often seen, rare, or in great demand. The Atwood-Coffee or Smith numbers listed with the tokens are from the Atwood-Coffee Catalog of U.S. and Canadian Transportation tokens or Smith's world transportation token catalogs, both long-recognized authorities on the subject.
