Bench Dog ProLift Router Lift Adjustment System 40-150 NEW

Great router lift, lousy inserts.

The Bench Dog router lift is very well made and really a beautiful piece of engineering. It works very nicely and smoothly. Bit changes can be made above the table which is very convenient. It was a perfect fit for the Porter Cable 7519 router motor. Now for the bad. The inserts that install in the lift are made of plastic instead of metal, which was very disappointing. What was far worse is that the insert was not the proper thickness to bring it up level with the table. I measured it to be off .014" which is just unacceptable. And to make matters worse, the other inserts offered were different thicknesses, which means that I had to make a different spacer for each insert to bring them level with the cast iron lift. Shame on Bench Dog for not keeping up with the high quality of the rest of the lift. The lift would rate 5 or more stars were it not for the inserts.
