Soildly built and does it's job
Great quick release plate!
1) Solidly built entirely from metal
2) Multiple slots for 1/4 in (standard) tripod screw to be positioned, including long center strip
3) Good amount of friction material to prevent plate from sliding against camera
4) Robust D-ring to tighten tripod screw without a coin/screwdriver
5) Fits my Arca-Swiss compatible tripod head.
- It does have to be slid into the tripod clamp from the short edge, instead of being placed in as with other plates, but this could very well be that my tripod clamp isn't wide enough.
6) Comes with two safety stopper screws on either end to prevent plate from sliding off the tripod clamp if it loosens slightly.

Simple and Does It's Job
Clear filter made with metal and glass. Filter is slim enough to avoid vignetting at 16mm on a 16-35mm. Glass is clear, does not make appreciable difference to image quality.

Great, but with a minor issue
Grip feels well built and functions exactly as the official Canon version does!
However, the battery level display (using 2x official Canon LP E17) sometimes glitches, displaying 0/4 battery level despite each individual battery being full (displaying 4/4 when inserted individually into the camera directly). Though the camera continues to run smoothly.
Overall, a great battery grip still!
