Runs on VMWare
Purchased this server software because it was one of the earliest OS X versions that can run legally on a VMware Fusion virtual machine as a guest operating system on a Mac. This makes it possible to run very old Apple OS X software while simultaneously staying current with Apple's newest OS, High Sierra, booted on your Mac desktop.
Both versions of Snow Leopard, server and client, are very stable and fast. This is the last version of OS X that can run Rosetta, the emulation layer that allows PowerPC applications to run giving you further backward compatibility to load and run old Mac Applications, a marvelous capability if you need it.
It boots very fast in the virtual machine and does exactly what I need. I assume all the services like mail server, file server, vpn server, work in this configuration but have not tested this.

Bought for upgrade on a Mac Pro and works great in that machine
