After owning the SRH440 headphones for nearly 5 years, I decided it was finally time to upgrade. Don't get me wrong, the 440's are in no way worn out or in need of replacement; I was ready for the upgrade in sonic clarity, driver quality and long-term comfort. After hearing the 940's for the first time, I was blown away. Pristine high-end clarity. No overwhelming or artificial bass response. Referring back to high-quality tracks I've been listening to for many years, I was able to hear a whole new level of clarity in vocals, ambient effects, mixing techniques and more. The only thing to consider is the fact that these headphones are so accurate, you may believe there is almost too much high end. This is not the case. After using them for an extended period of time, you'll see just how great these are.
