Best book on this topic
The late historian David Herbert Donald called American Brutus “by all means the best,” and many of the leading Civil War historians emphatically agree.
This book is a refreshing change from the bulk of assassination literature which consists almost entirely of material cribbed from other books. It was built around primary sources in a computer database, consisting almost entirely of previously unused government records, and it is chock-full of surprises. American Brutus is an enjoyable read, and a radical departure from the conspiracy theories and worn-out drivel we’ve come to expect in anything published on this subject.

Great product - important to have
I never realized how important it is to protect and preserve post cards and similar paper items. But after seeing how a valuable collectible can be ruined in a split-second, I started to take a closer look at ways to protect them. These protectors do an outstanding job of keeping my cards clean and undamaged, and they are a great value. There is no excuse for leaving a collection unprotected.

In-depth and fascinating
I had expected to find an alphabetical list of fighter aces, each with a thumbnail biography cribbed from medal citations. But this book is a very pleasant surprise. Deeply researched and profusely illustrated, The Blue Devils is packed with information about the people, the aircraft, the equipment, the culture, the assignment policies and everything else that colored the lives and careers of these heroes. I once thought I knew this subject, but reading this book has been a humbling experience - and thrilling, too.
