Great hammer for wood splitting

I use this with the 14 inch Estwing E3-FF4 Splitting Axe to split firewood less that 6 inches in diameter. The head of the B3-4LBL Drilling Hammer is narrower than a standard hand sledge. This, together with the narrower neck, make following the Splitting Axe through a log exceptionally easy. The solid steel, one piece Hammer means you don't need to worry about loosing the head while you work. The extra handle length gives you a bit more oomph on your down swing. All and all, a very well thought out design and solid tool. A quality hammer worth the price.
