An interest look back at a unique time in American history
Saw this Stephen King story about the Kennedy assassination on Hulu a few years ago. I really enjoyed the range of characters and situation. Lately I wanted to see again, but it was no longer on Hulu. Found it here on eBay and I am delighted.

Better than Bose Quiet Comfort at half the price
This is the strangest 5 star review you'll ever read. I have owned the Jabra c820s for three years; my son gave them to me for a birthday present via amazon.com. I have owned many headphones and I admit I am rough on them. I'll explain why in a second. From the moment I placed the phones on my head, it was love-at-first-listen. These phones are AMAZING and even that is an understatement. The sound is beyond perfect and I am an audiophile with excellent hearing. I immediately threw all my other noise cancelling and non-noise cancelling phones in my `junk' drawer. Earlier I said that I am a bit rough on my headphones; now allow me to explain. During the time I have owned these babies, I have cut my yard summer after summer complete with sweat, tangled cords, and catching them in the lawn mower's handle. I have shoveled snow, chopped wood, I have dropped them, stepped on them, left them outside hanging on the handle of the snowblower and everything in between. I simple spray a little Windex on them and they shine up like new again. And best of all, no matter how loud the snowblower or lawn tractor is, all I hear is music. Amazing! Two years in I began to notice cracks in the plastic pieces. I fixed them and they still worked superbly. Three years in, there was nothing more I could do and they crumbled in my hands, but it was all my fault for workplace abuse of these marvelous phones. I should mention that the actual ear-cups are still like new and super comfortable; it just the over the head supports that cracked near where they connect to the ear cups themselves. One of the reasons I was so hard on them is because I did not know how much they cost since they were a gift. Had I known they were expensive, I would have babied them more. So, when I tried to purchase another pair I was shocked to discover that Jabra no longer provides them and those who still had inventory were selling them at double the original price, but still $100 or so less than the Bose Quiet Comfort. And while on the subject of Bose, I LOVE Bose. I own their $4000+ surround sound for my home entertainment system and nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, comes close. I was on the train with a friend who had just acquired his new Bose $300+ QC headphones. He loved them... that is until he tried on my Jabra c820s. We swapped phones from our respective iPods in order to get a real comparison. Over and over, in both our objective opinions, the Jabras met and in most cases exceeded the fidelity of the Bose. The Bose were comfortable, and sounded great, but in my opinion, in noise-cancellation mode, the Jabras are 10 ~ 15% better in overall sound, base, midrange and high frequencies. Classical musical is astonishing, pop is like you're at a concert, rap, while not my thing, is phenomenal. Country and folk allow you to hear things you've never heard before, and audio-books are unbelievable. In conclusion: I finally found replacement Jabra c820s on ebay, amazon and a few other sites. I purchased four (4) pair as I NEVER want to be without them ever again. I keep one pair at work, one in my tool-shed, one at my desk at home, and one pair in a fireproof vault for the just-in-case scenario. You probably think I'm crazy, but once you hear the Jabra c820s, you simply will not believe your ears. So, if you can find them, buy them. These are truly amazing headphones and no, I don't work for Jabra; I just love good sound.

Stairway To Heaven, it truly is.
Serendipity is wonderful thing. Allow me to take a moment to explain. One Sunday morning, my wife came to invade my indulgence with the talking heads, in particular, Tim Russert. She was raving about this TCM movie called A Matter of Life & Death. Later, I went to imdb.com and found this David Niven was also called Stairway To Heaven. I search eBay & kept coming up with this Korean flick. I had seen Il Mare the Korean film Keanu Reeves’, The Lake House was based on and so I purchased Stairway To Heaven and Something Happened In Bali on eBay watch and soon began to wonder why I wasted my time watching American television. I now own 20 K-Dramas. But since this review is about Stairway To Heaven, I will spend a few minutes discussing this incredible movie. Stairway To Heaven is a delicious stew of family dynamics mixed with the most stimulating array of love-preventing scenarios as you can imagine. The other reviews here tell you enough about the plot to ensnare you, but I will do here is give you the emotional reasons for watching. If you’ve ever been in love (not lust), and you know the feeling of the tortured loss of a loved one, Stairway To Heaven will wring the tears out of you before you have a chance to say “…men don’t cry”, at least that’s what I thought before this flick. You can’t imagine the level of complex emotions this movie will evoke from within you. You’ll find yourself screaming at the evil stepmother while hating one of the sisters. You’ll be tortured by the affection a blended-family brother can have for his blended-family sister. You will find yourself justifying the near-taboo, and hating with everything, the status quo. This flick will toy with emotions you didn’t even know you had. It’s been said that K-Dramas are addicting. I warn you here & now; they are indeed! Why? Because they cause you to experience wonderful emotions you will not be accustomed to, and you’ll want that feeling again, and again, and again. I’ve read most of the reviews already posted here and Stairway To Heaven is truly a five star flick. One thing of note; please try to get the YA Entertainment version of any K-Drama. The subtitles are fantastic. By the way, an incidental benefit to viewing these is that you will slowly begin to pick up the language and its conjugative inflections. And you will marvel how wonderfully modern South Korea is. It’s not like you would believe and I personally can’t wait to visit Seoul. I like these movies so much that I am taking a Korean language course so that I can heighten my experience even more. Don’t be afraid to invest in the hefty price of this box-set. After you get to the end, you will realize that it was a bargain at twice the price. Further, you should find and buy Winter Sonata and Something Happened in Bali right away. Why? Because when you’re done with Stairway To Heaven, you’ll want another addictive jolt right away. And finally, and you can quote me here; don’t screw around and lose you job by being constantly late to work. Many viewers of K-Dramas report watching till 2 ~ 3 am unable to stop, knowing full well that they had to go to work in the morning. Trust me, it WILL happen to you and you will drag your tired and sleepy carcass to work the next day unable to concentrate and you’ll find yourself anxious to get home to see the next installment. Stairway To Heaven, one helluva movie, I guarantee it. Mike Way, movies; the reel deal
