Worth its price, premium visual quality that stands above other budget eyepieces.
Indeed premium quality eye piece, Tele Vue lives up to their reputation. This 8mm eyepiece has much better clarity then my other 5mm eyepiece. Even when barlowed to 4mm it shows better result then my Stargazer 5mm eyepiece.
Of course being Plossl it has lower field of view than other eye pieces that are cheaper but with wider field of view. Nevertheless its superior visual quality is worth it. What's the point of having wider field of view if image is blurry. I am impressed by Tele Vue so much that I am considering replacing my cheaper wide FOW eye pieces with Tele Vue plossls.
To summarize: Tele Vue Plossl line is totally worth their price, being the cheapest of their brand they are affordable to regular people. By being almost the same cost as wide FOW budget eyepieces I recommend to pay slightly more and get Tele Vue plossl. Again it is better to clearly view a planet via Tele Vue plossl then to see blurry smudge in wide FOW eyepiece.

They do their job.
2 of 2 found this helpful They accomplish their task. With them bed sheers no longer slide away after each night. Holders are good and do not damage bed sheets. The only caveat is that if you have stiff mattress and your bed is positioned in such a way that it is difficult to lift it up, then installing these fasteners is not trivial task (this is my case so I had to lift up my mattress on one side then on other). Luckily you don't have to install them with perfect symmetry and tension, because even sloppy job works.
