not impressed
Doesn't stick down well enough to keep it still when you use it. Just sits in the draw unused.

versatile, inexpensive recorder with great results
Used it for a few nature recordings and a test run with a lav mic so far and I'm very impressed. Found a cheap deadcat wind filter that fits it perfectly, already have the adapter to use my SmartLav+ as a direct input and I use a tiny little USB powerbank for power instead of buying batteries. Without batteries and with the powerbank it's about as heavy as a large smartphone.
Really surprised by how good the recordings are played back on studio headphones, crystal clear and very accurate frequency response, very much a true to life recording. The microphones are a lot better than I expected them to be. They're not amazing but they definitely punch above their price point. I thought about buying a you-beaut carrying case for it, but ended up wrapping it up in a microfiber cloth and chucking it in an airtight food container with the power pack and the USB cable. Good as gold, highly recommended to amatauer videographers, content creators and even semi pro videographers.

Compact, robust & simple.
Smart dual slider design allows the camera move further than the slider is long. Smooth to use but easy to overload with a DSLR and any larger lens. Incredible for lighter (mirrorless) cameras. Solid construction, good robust carry bag, very easy to like. I put a universal arca swiss style quick release ball head on the top and matching base on the bottom so I can quick change between this, a travel jib or just my camera. Matched with a fluid head tripod you can come up with a really creative range of camera movements with this simple, compact slider.
