Barely bright enough for DRL's
I put these into my 2005 Beetle's fog lights which I'm using as DRL's. They put out a lot less light than the standard halogen bulbs, and are barely adequate for this application. Don't even think about using them for headlights. The housing is slightly fatter than a halogen bulb, but I managed to force them in. The positive prong came out of one of the bulbs when I tried to remove the harness from it, so build quality is a bit questionable. They do put out nice white light, and use minimal power. If you have a DRL need and you can't use larger LED's with a proper fan/heat sink, these will serve the purpose.
