It was a snap
After dicking around with the factory broken one on our new to us 2001 truck I bought this.
It just snapped in and done.

1 of 1 found this helpful My wife and are new gun owners (less than 100 rounds each) she has a Glock 42 and I a Glock 43. The laser comes in two pieces that come together just in front of the trigger guard. The way you activate it is just naturally holding the pistol, when you grip the handle your finger naturally rests on the button that starts the laser.
We shot at 9' 15' & 21' as required to qualify for our permits and we both blew the centers out of our targets. Granted not all of our shots were dead center (and my wife did better than I as she shot slower) but all were in the zone and counted toward the 100%. The week before we shot for the 1st time using the iron sights and didn't do nearly as well. This laser will let you use many holsters as it doesn't interfere with the fit.
We chose the option that came with a holster that is an exact fit, but the soft holsters we had fit as well.
Not to mention Crimson Trace (after you register it) will send you a battery every year for life.
