Very Visible and Comfortable Reader
The actual device deserves 4 stars. Unfortunately, the device has some dependency on the Barnes and Nobles book echo system which is where it falls short. The device reads very clearly and since there is no light emitting from the device there is far less eye fatigue. I can literally read for hours on this device. Battery life is a non-issue because you can go weeks without charging (possibly months, I haven't charged it yet and I have had it for a month now). The only negatives are that, due to it's awkward size it's (should've been longer with a smaller more square-ish and consistent in size bezel) it's difficult to navigate page to page while holding with one hand. It would've been helpful if it had hard page buttons on the left and right of the device. The swipe interface sometimes misses. So at times when you unlock the device you will need to swipe more than once to get it started. This also occurs when you are navigating from page to page. You quite often will need to touch the screen once, twice or even three times for it to catch. Otherwise, it's a great digital replacement for paper books and is far lighter and more convenient than carrying around a tablet, (especially when you need to cart around a laptop).
If you are a regular reader of books and feel that a tablet is overkill when all you want to do is read a book with the least amount of tablet like distractions, then this is the device for you. If you expect a device that will allow you to read books, play games, browse the internet, etc.., then this device is not for you.

Thin Gaming AI It's Best
I've had this machine for about 3 years. It's very light, very big but very thin. My only issue with the design is how the rubber feet are attached. They tend to fall out after repeated use. Also, the LCD bezel should've been made of the same material that the rest of the laptop. The laptop, despite those design issues is really amazing. It plays video games like fallout 4 and dying light. It houses up to 4 drives, yes 4, and has a color illuminated key board that's designed by Steele series. The keyboard is really awesome. The thin design has to be seen to be believed.
