2x Yamaha HS5 Active Powered Studio Reference Monitor Speaker
Apr 10, 2016
Great in my home studio
I have been recording music at home for over 30 years. I used to use passive monitors along with a power amp, but frequently had rattling and crackling in my speakers. I downsized my studio for simplicity and after doing much research, I decided the Yamaha HS5’s looked like a good fit for my price range. These deliver plenty of volume and clarity for my home studio.... They can go loud enough to feel the vibration and bug the neighbors and my girlfriend . More importantly, they sound wonderful. I put different genres through these from acoustic guitar, rock, electronic to classical. Everything sounded really nice through them. I also thought the bass was just fine in the HS5, some go for the larger HS7’s or 8 because they are worried there won't be enough bass, but those are alot more expensive and in my opinion perhaps overkill for the average home studio. I am VERY happy with my purchase and would recommend these monitors.
JETech 0776 3-Button USB Wired Mouse Gaming Optical Mice for PC Laptop - Black

The little mouse that could.
I am an apple user and while I love their computers, their mice really stink. The little scroll ball never works, they are ergonomically clunky and generally I have never learned to like them. Recently I got a program that utilizes the scroll wheel and the scroll wheel third mouse button. My apple mouse failed me (Again) and I needed a small simple mouse that simply had right and left click button and a scroll wheel with a button. I wanted it to be basic, inexpensive, and not have cheesey gaming graphics on it (what am i... like 14?) No I don't want the Diablo III mouse. After refining my search on ALL of ebay, it really came down to this one mouse. The price was so low, I was almost afraid to buy it. I was worried it would be poorly built. I took a chance and ordered it. I must say it is perfect for the job. It fits my hand just right. The 3 mouse buttons and scroll wheel work as they should. It was plug and play on my mac. In fact, this mouse feels more responsive and accurate than my apple mouse. At this price point, you just can't go wrong. Hope this helps.

Kreg KMS7200 Precision 14 Inch Bandsaw (Band Saw) Guide Fence Tool

Great Fence
I recently found a great deal on an older 14" Jet Band Saw. One of the things I have always wanted was to resaw my own lumber for thinner stock and veneers as well as make thin kerf straight cuts for inlay banding. I knew I wanted to purchase a fence for my bandsaw and after doing my homework, I felt confident in buying the Kreg fence. When the fence arrived, everything in the box was built sturdy yet lightweight. I felt the price was well worth the quality before even installing it. The installation was straight forward and I had no trouble following the directions on the included detailed instruction manual. After the installation and set-up of my new fence, I was very happy. My test cuts let me easily produce paper thin veneers and precise thickness in re-sawing. What really impressed me was when I set my fence to 1/2" and resawed a board off of a 5" x 5" block of wood I had. I took a digital caliper to that board I cut and it hit 1/2" right on. I checked the board in more spots along the board and it was a consistent cut within .001". It also helps that I had also just installed a good blade, but this fence let my blade do it's job well. This fence allows you to adjust for blade drift and for parallel. This allows maximum flexibility in your set up. I am very happy with this this fence and would recommend it for any standard 14 in bandsaw.
