Works great on 10-pin motherboard Front Panel headers

I use this on the motherboard front panel header. I remove one pin which is absent on the motherboard header and it also keys this header to prevent incorrect installation. I attach the ribbon cable pins to this (much easier to do) then insert this header onto the motherboard header. I trimmed all the pins on this one just a little

Character Counts & other books by John C. Bogle

I have read several books by the author who is the guy that started "the Vanguard Group", and the first S&P500 Index fund. Every single one of his other books were awesome and a great primer on how to invest using low cost index funds to construct a diversified portfolio. John is one of the only passionate writers about the industry and writes from the heart. If only every mutual fund company were like Vanguard which puts the investor first, everyone except Wall Street would benefit.

Using it in a 2-bay NAS

I was putting together my first NAS for the home and wanted either the WDC red or gold series. The GOLD was priced nice and had more features than the RED. It's fast, relatively quiet and should be very reliable based on passed experience (nearly 15 years) with WDC black, blue and green hard drives for use at home.
