you get less than what you pay for

i took a chance and purchased 4 batteries. upon initial charging, 1 battery wouldn't charge at all! 2 batteries are still ok after a week of use, 1 unit snapped off the retention clip and caused it to be stuck in my SDS drill. and lastly, there is no battery level indicator.

Big sound, smooth appearance, great build quality!

these large in ceiling speakers definately pack a punch and can handle power! you really cant go wrong with the flush magnetic grills, nobody even notices they are in my ceiling until i turn the amp on! i really have no cons, bass handling is good (but what do you really expect out of an open baffle speaker), mids are pronounced, tweeters are slightly bright. i am using these throughout my home in 4 different rooms powered by a Sony ES zone amplifier. mounting tabs are large and hold very well to the drywall. supplied cutout templates leave some slight wiggle room. tweeters are position able but i found they sound better in my rooms untouched.

built cheaply but cost to build it would be much more in materials

i purchased this box for a CT MESO 6.5 and couldn't get an answer on the internal volume specs. now that i have it, ill leave this information for those interested. - the main tube is indeed cardboard 3/8" thick (resembles a "sonotube") - internal measurements are 15" depth by 7" wide which calculates to an internal volume around .334 cubic feet. - port is constructed out of 1/2" MDF and has a length of 13" and average width of 3 5/8" and height 1 5/8" making the port volume around .0443 cubic feet - included wiring includes a 1 7/8" spring terminal cup that isn't secured at all along with 23" of what looks to be 18 AWG wire - mounting surface for the speaker is constructed from 1" thick MDF and has a cutout of 5 15/16" - carpeting is a standard dark grey material that has been glued fairly well!
