5 of 5 found this helpful This Thermal Imaging Camera is a great value. It works as described. I used to sell a Flir Handheld unit several years ago, that unit then was around $1800.00, This unit is every bit as good as I remember that unit to be, and the screen is bigger when you plug it into your iPhone. It works well on iPad as well and the image fills the iPad screen. the focus takes a little practice, but works well, it opens the App by itself as soon as you plug in the camera. The camera does not drain the iPhone. I have recorded Deer at night in winter at about 100 yards with no issue, could have gone out farther. I have recorded humans at 200 yards in the daytime, in winter. It will be more sensitive in the Winter as the temp differential is higher. I have identified a mis-firing engine cylinder by shooting the engine when it was running, and detected a leak in an industrial roof by identifying a cooler area in the ceiling panels.
