Item as described and great value, packaged very well, small shipping delay due to natural disaster but very communicative

As with the other 3 UV-compatible lenses I purchased from igoriginal, this one is also confirmed by me to be transparent to UV light. Delivery time was reasonable and the packaging of the lens was excellent. Its condition and appearance are as expected. In terms of value, I have found no other UV-transmitting lens on the market of this quality under $1000 anywhere! The only criticism I have about the lens is minor: On my Sony APS-C cameras, its FF-equivalent focal length is ~55mm, not ~52.5 mm.

The lens is by far the most transparent to UV of the ones I have, and it came in good shape. The aperture is very smooth, and the glass is good. The seller took the time to get it in the mail over the holidays, which was much appreciated. Would buy from again, A++!

The lens and filters arrived well bubble-wrapped and in beautiful shape, and the seller helped me to pick the proper helicoid lens adapter to achieve good focus on my camera system. Would absolutely recommend this seller to anyone just starting out in reflected UV photography.

J-B Weld 8276 KwikWeld Quick Setting Steel Reinforced Epoxy - 2 Oz
Dec 28, 2016
UNRIVALED!
I've used many types of glues in my lifetime. "Crazy glue", "Gorilla glue", and an innemerable legion of other generic brands and variants. But I can wholeheartedly say from direct experience that it doesn't get any better than JB Weld's products. Even many other dual-chemical epoxy-based (hardener + resin) brands cannot hold up to JB Weld. . I can also vouch for the efficacy of this JB Weld "Kwik" version. Yes, it does set faster, and also cures faster (in roughly half the time, compared to the original formula). But its resulting tensil strength and long-term durability doesn't seem to be all that much compromised in exchange for this faster variety. I have recently used JB Weld "Kwik" on repairing a handful of vintage telephoto lenses which are quite heavy in their all-metal and glass construction. One of these lenses that I repaired was completely split in half (due to the lens being dropped onto concrete from a good distance). In just 6 hours of using "Kwik", the lens looks and performs as if no damage has ever been done to it! The two previously-severed ends of the heavy-gauge metal tube of the lens (made of brass) which were joined together are COMPLETELY fused, as if returning the lens to its single-body construction! This "cold-weld" glue is the real deal, because the repair looks and behaves AS IF the metal ends were actually welded together! No "Super glue" or "Gorilla glue" can do that! Not even close! . Thank you, JB Weld, for your unrivaled products! When I require reliable repair of extremely heavy severed parts (short of firing up an actual arc welder), I will continue to turn to you for my work. . Disclosure: I am not affiliated with JB Weld or any of its subsidiaries and partners. Thus, this is an honest-to-goodness GENUINE review from a hard-working repair man.
