Better than expected!
Replacing the oem spare tire carrier on my '08 4runner was a fairly easy task. Finding/ordering a replacement left me with some qualms. The 4th gen carrier used an uncoated braided steel cable. It rusts, eventually begins to fray, and ultimately becomes unusable. I was prepared to deal with this again. BUT the item I purchased is from the 5th gen (presumably) and uses a heavy duty rust-proofed chain. A chain!! I was so pleased when I unboxed this item, more so when it was installed knowing this should now be a "forever part". Worthy upgrade for any 4th gen Toyota 4runner!
