Not recommended for higher caliber rifles
This is a great rifle scope, the optics are very clear and the scope is very easy to adjust. The only problem I see with it is when the scope is zoomed in at he 16 power level the eye relief is less than the advertised 3.8 inches, this means you will need to move your eye closer to the scope to get the full view in the objective lens.
This could be a big problem on higher caliber rifles such as a 300 Win Mag, you will bump your eye brow! OUCH!
Smaller caliber rifles should do fine
Even though I find this a problem for the 300 Win Mag, I highly recommend NIKON optics for your all your firearms
