These Gigablock 700MB, 80min 52x CDs don't cut the mustard for CD Video Burning
The gigablock cd-r is not performing up to the level I've grown used to with other cd-r brands of the same spec, in the past.. I've used all kinds of CD-Rs from other manufacturers that faultlessly recorded video The gigablock cd-rs didn't match up to the spec of every other brand I'd used before. When I played the result on a DVD player, nothing recorded lasted more than 20 minutes before abruptly stopping in 3 video burning attempts of separate files all under 700 megs except the last one, which was 734 plus a fraction, a standard the last verbatim cd-rs same spec, have met for the last five years I've used them
    Samsung BD-D5100 Blu-ray Player/Media Streamer NO REM0TE!

Interesting facets of the Samsung BD-D5100 DVD player.
It turns out out to be a German version of the Samsung. A few times it has mistakenly identified a file on a disk as lacking a codec, when it actually had codecs. Unlike American Samsung BD D5100s, it tricks if controls are operated too fast. I had four of these machines before I got this one. They're the only machines that will play all computer/internet file types if they have codecs. If not, a program called Handbrake will usually add both codecs if necessary. Similarly, PAL System videos, essentially the same as US VOB file commercial dvds, can be converted to the US system with Handbrake. These Samsungs are valuable is that one can save time making use of downloaded files by not having to convert them to tradish Commerical bdr files to play them. The non-conversions look every bit as good as the genuine US standard VOB file standard DVD disks. One of the four other BD-D5100s I have was unable to play non-VOB format disks. I complained, they refunded my money, but the player still plays VOB format disks perfectly. BluRay players like these, made before February, 2012, will play copies of the 32 disks BluRay killed soundtracks on after February, 2012, if the film's producers paid them to do so. Few producers were willing to pay the fee, which is why there are only 32 such films. I've only run into one of them. My players will play all blu ray, because they're pre-February, 2012, but any bluray newer than that won't pay the 32. I've tried just one bluray disk and decided it isn't worth having for me. Bluray coloring looks artificial to me. The only reason I have bluray is that Samsung's unique BD D5100 are all Bluray players.
